Following demand for our standard branded deckchairs, we embarked on developing a unique giant deckchair solution that would complement our existing outdoor products.

Quality, Safety & Durability

Following a lot of measuring, testing and development to design a chair and fabric combination that would match the quality and finish of our existing chairs, we are delighted to have launched our very own Branded Giant Deckchairs.

Following the production of our first samples, we arranged for our giant deckchairs to be rigorously tested to meet  BS EN 581-2:2015 + CDM:2016 Contract Level certification standards.

What Is BS EN 581-2:2015 + CDM:2016 Certification?

This certification is a European safety standard that ensures outdoor seating furniture is structurally sound, stable, and safe for users.

It applies to domestic, camping, and commercial furniture, ensuring that products meet strict durability and safety requirements.

The testing process evaluates:

• Strength & Durability: Load-bearing capabilities and resistance to wear over time.
• Safety Requirements: Protection against sharp edges, pinch points, and other hazards.
• Material Quality: Suitability of wood, metal, and fabrics used in construction.

Our Giant Deckchairs successfully passed all applicable tests, confirming their suitability for commercial and public use.

This means they are built for reliability, longevity, and safety across various outdoor settings.

The Deckchair Testing Process

Our Custom Printed Giant Deckchairs completed extensive product testing at a UKAS-accredited testing facility to obtain the certification.

The key evaluation stages included:

1. Static Load Testing – Ensuring the chair can withstand significant weight without structural failure.
2. Durability Testing – Simulating repeated use to confirm long-term performance.
3. Shear & Squeeze Points Inspection – Checking for potential pinch hazards when folding or adjusting the chair.
4. Stability Assessment – Verifying the chair remains stable on different surfaces.

Following these stringent assessments, our Giant Deckchair successfully met the certification standards, withstanding applied forces up to 250kg - well above the standard requirement.
